THE CHALLENGE
The existing building was significantly underutilised and unsuitable for clinical use, with no established infrastructure to support regulatory healthcare requirements. Comprehensive due diligence was required to assess the condition of the structure and services, alongside careful planning to convert a retail shell into a compliant, high-quality clinical environment for aesthetic treatments.
Our Approach
Early-stage involvement focused on detailed surveys and technical assessments, including asbestos inspections, structural appraisal, and full evaluation of existing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical services. These findings informed the development of a safe, compliant, and efficient design strategy tailored specifically to clinical use.
Throughout the project, The Clinic Builders advised on all key elements, from spatial layout and equipment planning to finance and third-party service coordination. Close collaboration with the client and delivery team ensured effective control of cost, programme, and quality across the full project lifecycle.
The internal layout was carefully designed to balance clinical compliance with a refined, contemporary aesthetic, supporting both patient experience and operational efficiency.
The Outcome
The completed facility now accommodates a minor operations theatre, multiple consulting and treatment rooms, and dedicated staff and administrative areas, all delivered to a high specification. The result is a thriving, high-end aesthetic clinic offering advanced non-surgical treatments and minor procedures.
The project has successfully revitalised a previously neglected building, creating a landmark healthcare destination that enhances the local streetscape while significantly improving access to premium aesthetic services for the Amersham community.
